I am so happy to be able to see people on a regular basis.
Because of the CDC recommendations of wearing a mask, I still mostly just see people’s eyes. I miss seeing people’s cheekbones and chins. And their smiles.
But, I feel fortunate to see people at all, given that many who work from home are isolated from other humans. So many of my clients have noted that they have forgotten how to interact with other people. But from where I stand, they are doing just fine.
This pandemic has forced us all to slow down and take a look at what’s important.
My friends and family, my clients, my dogs - these connections have become my life. And I realize I really love my life. Turns out I like cooking and am pretty good at it. Luc has become the master baker in our house, and we have both developed a pizza obsession. You may eventually see a wood fired oven on our back patio!
I hope you all have found what makes you happy. Maybe it’s working a lot, or not working at all. Maybe it’s writing, or being in nature. A lot of people have taken up running and hiking. Whatever it is, the fact that you’re moving forward and finding your joy is a win. Keep up the good work!
Cheers!
